Make lots of notes that you'll want to include in
Days Two through Six:
Write 10,000 words each day (2 chapters), fleshing
out the outline, writing blocks of the story, or utilizing
the stream of conciousness writing that many authors
like. Just make sure you write at least 10,000 words
per day. Use Write
or Die to jump start the process if you get writer's
block or are unmotivated.
If you have a job, you may think that 10,000 words
per day seems impossible. Break it down in manageable
chunks if need be. Get up an hour earlier and write.
Write during your lunch hour. Write instead of watching
TV in the evening. Turn off your phone and do not
check your social networking sites.
If you can write 500 words in 15 minutes, you'll
reach your quota for the day in 5 hours. Any extra
time can be spent correcting spelling and punctuation.
Edit your manuscript. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation
are important but not more important that plot continuity.
You may find you need to change some elements of your

to what they prefer. Write a cover letter, synopsis
(if required) and send it off.
